About Techsoup Canada

TechSoup Canada is a team of 8 people dedicated to empowering charities, nonprofits and libraries with the effective use of technology.

TechSoup Canada is a program of the Centre for Social Innovation, a nonprofit coworking space, community and launchpad for people who are changing the world.  Being a nonprofit ourselves, we understand all too well the challenges facing the Canadian nonprofit sector and we want to help. We can connect you to donated and discounted technologies through our technology donations program and provide valuable learning resources to equip you and your colleagues with technology tips and best practices.

We know that our sector is achieving great work and we believe we can have an even greater impact through the appropriate use of technology. Let us help you on your tech journey!

Technology Donations Program

Qualified charities, nonprofits and libraries can order donated and discounted software, such as Microsoft Office, Bitdefender Antivirus and Shopify, for a very low administrative fee.

How is this possible? Through the generosity of our technology donor partners, such as Microsoft, Symantec, Adobe and Cisco, and their commitment to help the nonprofit sector.

The TechSoup Canada Recipe

TechSoup Canada started in 2009 as the Canadian partner of TechSoup. TechSoup -- formerly known as Compumentor -- is one of the oldest and largest nonprofit technology assistance agencies in the United States. The TechSoup programs are now available locally in many countries through a growing network of partner nonprofit organizations.

TechSoup Canada was formed as a collaborative effort of the Centre for Social Innovation, TechSoup and the Information Technology Association of Canada. This initiative was made possible through a seed funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation. We are grateful to all of our donor partners, partners and supporters for helping us with our mission.
