Adobe Acrobat X Pro software enables organizations to create, combine, and control Adobe PDF documents for distribution, collaboration, and data collection.

Acrobat Pro can be used to
• Convert or scan to PDF: Users can create Adobe PDF documents from any application that prints, including Microsoft Office software, web browsers like Internet Explorer and Firefox, and Lotus Notes. PDFs can also be created from scanned paper documents and forms.
• Combine files from multiple applications: A range of file types can be combined into a single Adobe PDF document or placed into a single portfolio, optionally embedding multimedia content, including FLV or H.264 video and web pages.
• Protect PDF files and documents: Authors can apply advanced document controls and security with password protection; permissions for printing, copying, and changing; and digital signatures. They can also permanently remove metadata, hidden layers, and other concealed information and use redaction tools to permanently delete sensitive text, illustrations, or other content.
• Collect data with fillable PDF forms: Authors can create fillable forms from scanned paper, PDF documents, Microsoft Word documents, or Excel spreadsheets; combine collected forms into a searchable, sortable, PDF package; and export collected data into a spreadsheet.
• Perform collaborative document reviews: Multiple participants can conduct collaborative document reviews that allow reviewers to see one another's comments. Users of the free Adobe Reader as well as Acrobat can add comments to documents.
• Export PDF files: Save Adobe PDF files as Microsoft Word documents, retaining layout, fonts, formatting, and tables. Individual tables or data sections of a PDF can be saved as Excel documents.
• Ensure document accessibility: Authors can use Acrobat's accessibility tools to check, adjust, and validate documents to ensure accessibility for people with disabilities, such as blindness or low vision.
