eTapestry is a Web-based software application for fundraising and contact management for donors and other contacts. eTapestry tracks donors, prospects, members, and alumni while managing gifts, pledges, and payments. An organization's data is stored and maintained remotely, and staff members interact with it through a Web browser. eTapestry takes care of backups, upgrades, security, and system maintenance. Technical support is available anytime by phone or email.
eTapestry operates much like any Web site. People working at remote offices or from home have all functions and information available to them. For example, board members making calls on major donors can review a donor's gift history anywhere. Users can search for donors using a search-engine-style window. They can view donor information, update contact info, record notes of a conversation, and send email. A variety of prebuilt fundraising reports with drill-down capability are available, or they can be built as needed.
This donation is most appropriate for organizations with 500 to 1000 records. For other organizations, the following options are more economical:
- Fewer than 500 records: purchase the service directly from eTapestry.
- From 1000 to 5000 records: go to eTapestry and request the special 10 percent TechSoup discount. (This discount is valid only for new eTapestry subscriptions and only for the first year of service.)
This offering includes 12 months of access to eTapestry. At the end of the donation period, organizations that want to continue using eTapestry may request a new donation. One user at a time may access eTapestry. Organizations that require multiple concurrent users can purchase additional access directly from eTapestry. Within a few days after your request is approved, eTapestry will contact your organization to activate your account.
Additional Services: Nonprofits that obtain this donation can contact eTapestry to obtain additional services such as advanced email functions, document attachment facilities, donor login, Web-based donation acceptance, and an administration module.
- Donor/Contact Management: eTapestry handles all variety and combinations of donor types (individuals, couples, families, corporations, foundations) from a single screen. Additions and changes are tracked by dates and user. The Web-based interface is easy to learn and use. All mass or individual emails are recorded in an account journal, easily integrated with Microsoft Word.
- Reporting: Unlimited reciprocal links and user-defined fields make it possible to do reports and sorting unique to the needs of each organization. On-screen drill-down reporting is available from any field, down to subtotal, gift amount, or donor record. Duplicate records are easily merged. User-defined field values can be mass-assigned. There is a wide range of standard reports on account, gift, memorial/tribute, or system information.
- Gift and Pledge Maintenance: eTapestry includes gift processing for all forms of gifts (cash, check, credit card, stock, gift-in-kind, real estate) as well as pledge processing, including reminders, reporting, and variable schedules.
- Data Security: Everything needed to protect physical data and maintain access to information is taken care of by eTapestry. Data security includes an environment that is continuously monitored and is protected by the latest firewalls, router settings, and storage devices. Data is automatically backed up every day, and multiple data centers provide for total failover protection. Organizations maintain complete ownership of their data, but they do not have to have expertise in data security.
- Scalability: eTapestry has modules an organization can add as its needs change, including ecommerce and Web site integration (allowing donors to give directly online or log in to features on the organization's site), advanced administration, email, document attachment, and executive reporting capabilities, and grant exploration.
