Since 2004, over 13,000 nonprofits, charities and libraries in Canada have received over $129 million worth of software and hardware donations.
Description:
Sumac is nonprofit management software. It manages everything from contacts, communications and donations to events, memberships, and volunteers.
There are over a dozen Specialized Modules to choose from, so organizations can create a software solution customized to their specific needs.
Sumac can be a desktop, client-server based or web-hosted program. Please see section 1.3 of http://www.sumac.com/support for details on the requirements to use Sumac.
Features of Sumac Silver:
Capacity: Up to 1,000 contacts in the database, unlimited usage.
Users: one user at a time.
Modules: Roots Modules included. Add up to two Specialized Modules.
Donation Information:
This donation covers all first year fees for the software, including online training, unlimited email support and updates. Eligible organizations may renew Sumac Silver each year through TechSoup Canada.
Data Conversion Process:
Once you have been approved for a donation of Sumac Silver, you will need to convert your data. Likely, what you have now are lists of names and addresses, email distribution lists, donation history, and lots of other types of information in spreadsheets, databases, and emails lists.
Data conversion is a process of cleaning up and moving this data into your new database. Sumac offers a service that takes care of data conversion for you forĀ a very reasonable rate, or you can do it yourself.
