Multi-language Packs
Office Multi-Language Pack 2007
Office Multi-Language Pack 2007 is an add-in product that can display the user interface of the Office 2007 desktop applications — windows, tabs, help, and so on — in 37 different languages. In addition, proofing tools make it possible to check spelling, grammar, and so on in documents created in these languages.
To obtain the Office Multi-Language Pack, you must have a license for an Office suite, not just an individual Office product.
The languages included are Arabic, Brazilian Portuguese, Bulgarian, Croatian, Chinese (Pan-Chinese), Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian Latin, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, and Ukrainian.
Some features are not available for some languages. For specifics, consult Microsoft's comparison chart.
Windows XP Multilingual User Interface Pack
The Windows XP Multilingual User Interface Pack is designed for multilingual work environments; it allows administrators or users to specify the language of the user interface as any of the 33 supported languages.
The languages included are Arabic, Brazilian Portuguese, Bulgarian, Croatian, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, and Turkish.
How to Obtain Multilanguage Packs
You obtain multilanguage packs in the same way you obtain software upgrades: online, by phone, or by fax.
To install a multilanguage pack, you use the same volume license key (VLK) that you used to install the Office suite or Windows XP. You can find these keys on Microsoft's eOpen Web site as described in the section titled "Obtaining Volume License Keys" of TechSoup Donation Recipients' Guide to the Microsoft eOpen Web Site (3.9-MB PDF).
