TechSoup Canada is proud to announce a new addition to the Adobe donation program: Adobe Creative Cloud All Apps Plan. Now you can tell your story through a variety of media using Adobe Creative Cloud!
What is Adobe Creative Cloud?
Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) is the evolution of Creative Suite: a suite of design applications (such as Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver) that are accessible online, and have additional benefits like free upgrades to new software versions, multiple language support, file storage on the cloud and easier sharing. To access Creative Cloud, users need a monthly or annual subscription. Software from Creative Cloud are downloaded from the user’s account and installed directly on a local computer and can be used as long as the subscription remains valid.
How Creative Cloud Works
The applications in Creative Cloud are very similar to the Creative Suite applications you and your staff may already use.
One major question that comes up regarding Creative Cloud is whether you need to be online in order to use Adobe Creative Cloud applications. This is a legitimate concern — we don't always have access to the Internet when working remotely. The good news is that Creative Cloud applications can be used offline; you only need access to your online account when you buy, license and install your software, and then once every 30 days (so Adobe can check if your subscription is still valid).
Adobe Creative Cloud applications aren't accessed via a web browser. You download the individual Creative Cloud products, which run from your hard drive and not from the cloud. This way they function much like any other application that runs on your computer!
You can also take your Adobe apps on the go with you. You can use your online storage space to sync files with a mobile device, such as your tablet or smartphone. You can then access those files via Adobe's mobile apps, such as Photoshop Mix and Illustrator Draw.
And if you decide to leave Creative Cloud, you'll still have 2 GB of free storage space to store and access your files.
What’s available through TechSoup Canada?
The Creative Cloud All Apps Plan provides access to more than 20+ creative desktop and mobile apps, including Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver. See the full list of applications on Adobe's website. You can choose to download all the programs offered through the membership or just the ones you need.
In addition, the All Apps Plan provides you with a portfolio website, premium fonts, 20 GB of cloud storage and you will receive access to all updates and upgrades without any additional cost.
Canadian charities, nonprofits and libraries can get access to a 60% discounted rate for a one-year subscription of the All Apps Plan for one user — a savings of over $200* USD! Once your one-year subscription is up, Adobe will automatically renew your subscription at a 40% discounted rate. You can request discounted rates for as many individual memberships as you need, and this offer is available to Canadian registered charities, nonprofits and libraries regardless of their size and budget.
*Discounted rate of $240 for first year (retail value of $600 USD)
Is my organization eligible for Adobe Creative Cloud Donation Program?
This program is available to qualifying Canadian Registered Charities registered with the Canada Revenue Agency, Canadian nonprofits incorporated either provincially or at the federal level, and Canadian public libraries with a library symbol from Library and Archives Canada. For a more detailed breakdown of eligible and ineligible organizations, check out Adobe Creative Cloud's program details.
To see if you are eligible for Adobe Creative Cloud, log into your TechSoup Canada Account, click on the “My Organization” tab and check your eligibility status for Adobe Creative Cloud.
The Creative Cloud All Apps Plan is ideal for organizations that plan to use more than a single Adobe product regularly for one year or more (e.g., regularly use Photoshop, Premiere, Indesign, Illustrator etc.). Typically this means you have one or more staff dedicated to creating content (e.g., communications, marketing, graphic design staff members).
Please note that Creative Cloud plans requires online payments through VISA, MasterCard, American Express, PayPal or debit. If your organization is unable to purchase a subscription through these payment providers, then the Creative Cloud plan will not be a good option for you.
Alternatively, if your organization prefers another method of payment and/or regularly create graphics but do not need Adobe’s entire Creative Suite, we have individual Adobe products that offer perpetual software licenses, such as Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements bundle.
