Intuit expands eligibility for faith-based organizations

Finance & Accounting

Good news! Intuit has expanded the eligibility for their popular accounting software, QuickBooks, to include faith-based organizations that were previously ineligible! As you may know, we work hard with our donor partners to open eligibility to as many groups as possible, so we are delighted to be expanding Intuit eligibility to faith-based organizations.

This means many nonprofits will be able to request donations of QuickBooks.

Is my organization now eligible for Intuit?

You will now be eligible for Intuit if you qualify for the donations program (you are a registered Canadian charity or nonprofit) and you are a faith-based or religious organization. Faith-based or religious organizations include religious groups and places of worship such as churches, synagogues, mosques and temples, as well as religious orders, missionary groups, faith-based children’s camps, faith-informed women’s health care centres and other religious charities and nonprofits.

If you are now eligible, your eligibility status for Intuit will now say “Qualified” and you are able to request donations of Intuit Quickbooks. To check your eligibility status, log in and click “My Organization”.

My organization is now eligible - what do I need to know about the Intuit program?

  • Intuit’s Ordering Cycle
The allotment of products your organization can receive from Intuit resets every fiscal year (July 1st to June 30th). This means you can order as many licenses of QuickBooks within your allotment between July 1st and June 30th. Once the fiscal year has passed, your ordering cycle (and therefore allotment) will reset on July 1st. Just remember that any unused allotments do not roll over to the next fiscal year. Use it or lose it!

  • Allotment
In each fiscal year cycle you can request up to three licenses*. This can be done by requesting three of the 1-user licenses or by requesting one 3-user license.

*You may not request three of the 3-user license

  • Payroll Module is Not Included
The Payroll module is not included in this donation and can be purchased as a separate service for a monthly fee through Intuit Canada.

You can learn more by reading Intuit's donation program guidelines. If you have any additional questions or need to update the information on your account, please contact us.
